Estate formats — Princeville, Hanalei, and Poʻipū
Princeville kitchens sit above the valley and take weather seriously: covered lānai plans, indoor resets, menus that do not depend on an uncovered grill. Hanalei houses are closer to the water and closer to the bridge — beautiful, and honest about winter swell and road risk. Poʻipū and Kōloa are sunnier, steadier, and closer to the Līhuʻe base. Arrival-night dinners and week-long provisioning fit the south shore as well as a Saturday reception.
Līhuʻe and Kapaʻa are the base zone. Both shores carry a published surcharge. Hāʻena is quote-only. Drive time is a map, not a hidden markup on the catch. We will not pretend a north-shore Saturday and a south-shore Sunday are the same chef day without writing the travel. If the estate cannot hold the list, we decline the headcount before we design the cake-cutting window.
Buffet, plated, or family-style — same food band, different crew. Family-style is the usual ten-to-twenty estate night. Buffet from about twenty up. Plated when the dining room can take a restaurant pace. Wet-weather plans are written. Building and estate rules are arranged in advance. We slot into a planner’s timeline. How a Kauaʻi week is quoted

Elopements and dinners for two sit at $975–$1,425 USD as a fixed event, not a per-guest fiction. A Kauaʻi crew cannot hold two estate weeks that overlap — North Shore winters especially.
North Shore winters book early. We will not pencil two Kauaʻi estate weeks onto the same Saturday. Send the date while the house is still a maybe. Allergies and a bartender belong in the first thread. Rentals and tabletop are add-ons when you want them. We do not fold a mystery hospitality line into the fish. The quote is exact before you deposit.

Roads, rain, and the week you actually have
Kauaʻi weather is a planning input, not a mood. North Shore winters bring swell, mist, and the chance the Hanalei bridge closes. South Shore weeks are drier and closer to town, which is why a Poʻipū reception and a Princeville welcome are not interchangeable chef days. We write the wet plan before the deposit: covered terrace, indoor table, or a reschedule that does not eat the food band. That clause is on the booking terms and on the quote.
Grocery runs are shore-shaped. A Princeville Saturday does not assume a Līhuʻe shop at noon. A Poʻipū brunch can still use the same brigade that plated Friday if the travel is written. We do not stack a far-North dinner against a south-shore lunch. Seventy-two-hour notice for Hāʻena is a road fact. If your planner wants both shores in one weekend, say so on the quote form and we will tell you which days can share a crew.
Peak pressure is quieter than Maui’s September stack and louder than a mid-week villa dinner. One wedding week at a time. Ask early. We will not invent a second brigade to look available.
