The villa party is its own format: not a seated dinner, not a venue event — a house full of people who should never see the kitchen working. Pūpū hours, grazing tables, attended stations, 10–75 guests.
Formats that fit a house
By energy level:
- The pūpū hour that becomes the evening — grazing and tray pass, quoted per event
- Chef-attended stations — Premium band + staffing; the poke station alone justifies the party
- Family-style big table — $125–$150/guest for the sit-down version
- The bar cart alongside — $850/4hr + $60/guest, alcohol client-supplied or via licensed referral
House rules are part of the quote
Rental houses have rules — guest counts, quiet hours, parking limits — and the party works inside them or doesn’t work. We settle the house rules in the inquiry exchange; a party that violates the rental agreement is a bad night for everyone, including us.
Load-in, power, and the rain plan are assessed in the quote phase. Kauaʻi evenings are kind; the covered lānai is the default dance floor.
The staffing math
Standing formats run one server per 15–20 guests; the bar runs its own line; a sous holds the stations. All of it published — $55/hr servers, $75/hr sous, 4-hour floor — and itemized before the deposit.
Questions, answered
Thirty guests on a pūpū-and-stations format runs roughly $4,500–$7,500 for food depending on depth, plus two to three servers and a sous at published hourlys, the bar cart if you want it, and the fee stack on its own lines.
Check the house rules first — most allow catered gatherings within guest-count limits, many prohibit events beyond occupancy. We work inside the rules; the quote phase includes the access conversation.
